A last-second three-pointer by Forest Loesch lifted the Pierson boys basketball team to a 34-32 win over top seed Stony Brook in the Suffolk County Class C Championship at Suffolk County Community College in Selden Monday night. It is the first county title for the Whalers since 1994.
Before Pierson’s big win, the Bridgehampton boys basketball team beat top seed Greenport, 73-50, to win the Suffolk County Class D Championship on the same court. It’s the first county title for the Killer Bees since 2000.
