Marie Mulcahy, a longtime Hampton Bays resident and civic leader, died Saturday after a battle with leukemia.
Ms. Mulcahy, 85, enjoyed spending her time volunteering for community organizations, including the Hampton Bays Beautification Association, the Hampton Bays Civic Association, the Hampton Bays Citizens Advisory Committee, the Irish-American Society of the Hamptons, and was a member of the Hampton Bays Board of Education.
A wake for Ms. Mulcahy will be held at the R.J. O’Shea Funeral Home in Hampton Bays on Tuesday, September 29, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday September 30, at 10:30 a.m. at The Church of St. Rosalie on Montauk Highway in Hampton Bays.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hampton Bays Beautification Association or Maureen’s Haven Homeless Outreach.
