Southampton Town Police detectives investigate a double-stabbing at CB's Bar and Grill in Hampton Bays on Saturday morning. DANA SHAW
May 23, 2016 12:23 PM

UPDATE: Sunday 11:30 a.m.

All four of the young men charged in connection to the stabbings outside of CB’s Bar & Grill in Hampton Bays early yesterday morning were remanded to the Suffolk County Jail in Riverside in lieu of $250,000 bail each following their arraignments Sunday.

The felony counts of first-degree gang assault that each of the men faces carry potential punishments of up to 25 years in prison.

UPDATE: Saturday 8 p.m.

Southampton Town Police have arrested four men, between the ages of 18 and 23, in connection with the stabbing of two men in the parking lot of CB’s Bar & Grill in Hampton Bays early Saturday morning.

Southampton Town Police said that one of the victims—a 30-year-old Riverhead man—was stabbed in the torso and remains in “grave condition” as of Saturday night. The other victim, a 23-year-old man, is in serious but stable condition, they said.

The 30-year-old is being treated at Brookhaven Memorial Medical Center in East Patchogue, while the 23-year-old was transported to Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead, police said. They have not identified either of the victims.

The four men arrested are Carlos Gutierrez-Zacupa, 23, of Flanders, Nelvin Ramos-Andrades, 18, of Hampton Bays, Luis Linares-Chavez, 22, of Westhampton and Marvin Siciliano-Nunez, 19, of Hampton Bays.

All four were charged with two counts of first-degree gang assault, a felony, according to authorities.

Mr. Linares-Chavez was additionally charged with driving while under the influence of drugs or alcohol, a misdemeanor, after officers located the car the four men were in later Saturday morning several miles from the Hampton Bays bar. Officers were able to locate their vehicle based on witness descriptions, according to police; the location of their arrest wasn’t immediately known.

All four men are being held overnight and will be arraigned in Southampton Town Justice Court on Sunday morning.

Security personnel in Kevlar vests, continuous prostitution in rear parking lot, 3-4 stabbings in the past 12 months. Why are they still open much less have a liquor license?
By JohnTedesco (5), Hampton Bays, New York on May 21, 16 11:28 PM
"stabbing" reportedly means they were holding vic #1 down whilst opening up his guts so he could watch himself die. Nice ISIS type touch. Vic #2 came to vic#1 aid and got cut up for it.

There have been rowdy and violent bars in Hampton Bays in the past -- remember Ed's Bay Pub? I do. The police put a stop to them by parking nearby and enforcing drunk driving laws and public intoxication laws. The situation at the Boardy Barn, where seriously drunk patrons zombie walk at dusk to the train station in groups on a busy road, is also ripe for disaster. Time for the Town of Southampton police department to step up and start enforcing laws. No need to invoke D.J. Trump rhetoric, ...more

This altercation has already cost the taxpayer hundreds of thousands of dollars. Between police OT, ambulance, medical, court fees and detainment costs. When all said and done it will be into the millions. All this for 6 people who entered this country illegally. This happens everyday all over this country costing Joe taxpayer billions. I find it hard that anyone wants to give them amnesty. I'm voting Trump! Let's put those billions back into Hardworking Americans pockets.

That's exactly my point. It's time for Southampton Town police to step up and prevent predators from striking before it happens with some proactive policing: rowdy bars need police in front of them, whether they cater to Hispanics or Anglos.
By davidf (325), hampton bays on May 23, 16 10:20 AM
"Pro-active" policing amounts to the public paying security detail for private businesses that can't or won't manage themselves or their patrons. They profit, we pay. Been going on for years, especially at certain bars in Hampton Bays, as government and police officials congratulate themselves for keeping order and helping the summer "economy" hum along.

There has been some great work being done in response to the knifing at CB's. The police did a great job apprehending the suspects and the $250,000 bail assignment is great. It underscores the seriousness of the crime. Printing the names of the suspects was also necessary for complete reporting. A good job by the Press.

Erin:
That's an excellent point: where have the police been? And it's not months, it's almost 2 years that CBs has been hosting this illegal party. Police happen to be right in the neighborhood to arrest a former town supervisor for having a glass of white wine at her sister's house but too busy to post a drunk driving screening patrol car at a known weekday danger spot?
