Lois L. Gregor Of Hampton Bays Dies January 8

Lois L. (Bangtson) Gregor of Hampton Bays died January 8 at Southampton Hospital. She was 85.

Born January 8, 1929, to George F. and Georgianna Bangtson, Ms. Gregor graduated from Hampton Bays High School in 1946. She was employed by The Fish Net Restaurant and the Shinnecock Coffee House, and she had been the bookkeeper/office manager for Gregor Well Drilling for 18 years. She enjoyed traveling, bowling and playing golf.

She was predeceased by her husband, Alexander D. Gregor; a daughter, Georgianna F. Collins; a brother, George F. Bangtson Jr.; and a sister, Audrey F. Schug. She is survived by her children, Patricia G. Allen and husband Richard of Hampton Bays, Jeffrey J. Gregor and wife Koral of Sagaponack, Southampton Town Highway Superintendent Alex Gregor and wife Meghan of East Quogue; and stepsons, Robert D. Gregor and wife Kathleen of Hampton Bays and Patrick L. Gregor and wife Diane of Remsemburg; six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held January 10 at the R.J. O’Shea Funeral Home in Hampton Bays. A funeral Mass was said Saturday, January 11, at the Church of St. Rosalie in Hampton Bays. Interment followed at Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Cemetery in Southampton.

Memorial donations may be made to the Southampton Town Adult Day Care Program, 25 Ponquogue Avenue, Hampton Bays, NY 11946.
