Carla L. Carolan of Merrimack, New Hampshire, formerly of Hampton Bays, died on May 17, 2018. She was 69 and served on the board of the “In Memory Plaque” for the Vietnam Veterans in Washington D.C. and was a proud member of the American Legion Unit 98 Merrimack.
She was the daughter of the late Frank Theodore Lutz and the late Shirley Reeve. She was predeceased by her husband, Michael O. Carolan; her longtime companion, Eric B. Strand, and his son, Kevin M. Strand.
She is survived by her son, Timothy W. Carolan; daughter-in-law, Melissa Carolan; grandchildren, Ella Rose Carolan and Cody Michael Carolan; her sister, Jacqueline Lutz Aldrich; nieces and nephew Kelly Lutz, Adam Michael Aldrich, Ann Marie Osman Andrews, Sally and Samantha; and her stepfamily Sally Mangas, Samantha Strand, Cathleen Strand, Nicholas Strand, Thomas O’Shea, Reilly Strand, Donald Strand, Krystin Strand and Donald Strand Jr.
Visitation is Wednesday, May 23, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Scott-Rothwell Funeral Home in Hampton Bays. A funeral service will be held at the East Quogue United Methodist Church on Thursday, May 24, at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery in East Quogue.
