Ian James Clark of Hampton Bays died on August 16, 2018, of cardiac arrest.
Born in Bay Shore, he was the son of Stephen J. Clark of Quartz Hill, California, and Donna Rogers of Hampton Bays, and lived on the East End since the 1980s.
He was an experienced electrician, as well as a professional medical coder/biller and a food caterer in his spare time. Survivors said he was a loving and caring son, father, husband and best friend.
Mr. Clark enjoyed the ocean and had a passion for surfing, and created an extraordinary life for his family, spending many incredible summers with them at the Hamptons beaches and traveling to Allentown, Pennsylvania, for hiking, kayaking, and zip lining in the Pocono Mountains, Bushkill Falls and afternoons at Dorney Park and Wild Water Kingdom.
He is survived by his wife, Greta; sons, Salvatore, Liam and Taylor; in-laws Oscar and Gigi; sister-in-law Diana; brother-in-law Alejandro; nephews Alessandro and Marcelo; and uncle and aunt, Russell and Janet; cousin Sarah; godparents Bruce and Joanne; and extended family and friends.
Visitation was at Brockett Funeral Home in Southampton. A funeral Mass was held at the Church of St. Rosalie in Hampton Bays.
