Joyce King of Orlando, Florida, formerly of Hampton Bays, died on April 11 from complications related to chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. She was 70.
Born on May 15, 1943, to James and Muriel Southard of Babylon, Ms. King was raised in East Hampton and graduated from East Hampton High School. Survivors said she will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and cherished friend.
Predeceased by her husband, Preston King, formerly of East Hampton and Hampton Bays, she is survived by three sons, James King and wife Linda of Orlando, Christopher King of Orlando and Preston King and wife Christine of New Hampshire; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Newcomer Funeral Home in Orlando. A memorial service and interment at Calverton National Cemetery will be held in early May, with details to be announced.
