Hampton Bays Man Charged With Selling Cocaine Behind Movie Theater On Tuesday

A Hampton Bays man was arrested by Southampton Town Police on Tuesday after police said he sold cocaine in the rear parking lot of the Hampton Bays United Artists movie theater.

Ronald Jiminez, 69, was observed during a hand to hand drug sale as part of a police investigation into cocaine sales in Hampton Bays, police said. He was found to be in possession of cocaine, packaged for sale, and over $1,100 in cash, which was seized for forfeiture, according to a press release.

Mr. Jiminez was charged with third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and two counts of fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, all felonies.

Mr. Jiminez’s vehicle was seized and he was transported to Southampton Town Police Headquarters and held for morning arraignment, the details of which were not immediately available on Wednesday morning.

In the press release, police asked anyone with information about Mr. Jiminez’s arrest or any drug activity to call police at 631-728-5000.
