Two Arrested In Montauk For Selling Alcohol To A Minor

New York State Troopers arrested two men in Montauk for selling alcohol to minors during a sting that hit up eight establishments, according to a New York State Police press release on Friday night. Officers made arrests at Herb’s Market on Main Street and Four Oaks Deli on Flamingo Avenue.

Carl G. Ferraro, 63, of Brightwaters, who is a clerk at Herb’s Market, and Fernando A. Flores-Lazo, 35, of Montauk, who is a clerk at Four Oaks Deli, were arrested and charged with unlawful dealing with a child and prohibited sale of an alcoholic beverage, both of which are misdemeanors, police said.

Six other establishments were targeted in Montauk but were found to be in compliance: 7-Eleven, IGA, Nelly Deli, Montauk Liquor & Wine, White’s Liquor Stores and Finest Kind Wine & Liquor.
