T. David Mullen
T. David Mullen of Quogue died on October 21, 2019. He was 92.
Mr. Mullen served in the U.S. Navy from 1945 to 1946. He was a graduate of the University of Rochester and Cornell Law School and went on to practice law in New York City, including a brief period as law secretary for the Hon. Edgar J. Nathan Jr., New York Supreme Court Justice. He joined Baldwin United Corporation to serve as in-house counsel and corporate secretary, and later, vice president-Law. He joined Crazy Eddie Inc. as general counsel and was named president to oversee the company’s liquidation.
He was a former chairman of the Quogue Village Board of Zoning Appeals, past president of the Quogue Cemetery Association, past president of the Quogue Field Club, and honorary secretary of National Golf Links of America.
Mr. Mullen is survived by his wife, Joan; children, Tom Mullen (Melissa), Tracy Lilly (Jim) and Joanie Smith (Gabe); and eight grandchildren, David, Kate, Thomas, Gibbs, Henry, Max, Hoddy and Cyrus. He is also survived by sisters, Jean Whelan and Virginia Lewing.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 24, at 1 p.m. at the Church of the Immaculate Conception on Quiogue.
