Joseph J. Holub of Sag Harbor died on April 19 at Southampton Hospital. He was 79.
A lifelong resident of Noyac, he was born February 18, 1936, the son of George and Madaline (Tompson) Holub. He graduated from Pierson High School and served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War, from 1953 to 1956. He was a member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars and earned a living as a builder.
Mr. Holub is survived by his wife, MariAnne (Doyle) Holub; sons, Joseph Jr. of North Carolina, and James, John and Jason, all of Sag Harbor; and a daughter, Debbie of Michigan. He is also survived by a brother, Robert of North Carolina; and four grandchildren. He was predeceased by two brothers, Ed and Bill.
Visitation was at the Yardley and Pino Funeral Home in Sag Harbor on April 22.
