Bay Street Theater will screen the third and final presidential debate on Wednesday, October 19, preceded by a presentation from the director of the Center for Electoral Politics and Democracy at Fordham University, Costas Panagopoulos.

Titled “Debating Debates: Do They Matter?” the presentation will look back on memorable moments from past presidential debates and examine whether the 2016 contest between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump will reinforce or shatter historical patterns.

“This is another opportunity for Bay Street to give back to the community by opening its doors for free,” said Bay Street Theater executive director Tracy Mitchell. “And having Costas Panagopoulos provide some context for this year’s debate is extremely beneficial for all of us. We’re thrilled he’s joining us during such a busy election season.”

The program will begin at 7:30 p.m. at the theater in Sag Harbor. The debate begins at 9 p.m. Both events have free admission, and a cash bar will be available.
