Sharon Gillings Grodski of Sag Harbor died at Southampton Hospital with her family by her side, on February 12, after a battle with cancer. She was 53.
Ms. Grodski was born to Dennis and Beverly Gillings, both of whom predeceased her, of Long Beach, on July 26, 1960. She graduated from Maria Regina High School and went on to earn an accounting degree from Southampton College. She co-founded an accounting firm, Fullam & Grodski Inc., in 1993.
She is survived by two daughters, Jennifer and husband Joseph LaBombard of Peru, New York, and Katelyn Grodski of Sag Harbor; and a mother-in-law, Louise Grodski of Southampton. Survivors said among her greatest joys were spending time with her daughters. She also enjoyed days at the beach, being in the company of friends, and being with her beloved dog, Sailor.
A wake was held on February 14 at the Brockett Funeral Home in Southampton. A funeral Mass was held on February 15 at St. Andrew’s Roman Catholic Church in Sag Harbor. Burial followed at Sacred Hearts Cemetery in Southampton.
