Sag Harbor Police Charge Four Bartenders With Selling Alcohol To Underage Undercover Agents

Sag Harbor Village Police charged four bartenders on Friday, August 25, with serving alcohol to minors.

Police used an undercover agent who was under 21 years old and who tried to buy alcohol at various locations.

According to police, the first arrest was of Christopher Wilson, 39, of Southampton at 8:10 p.m. at Baron’s Cove restaurant on West Water Street. Police said Mr. Wilson sold two 12-ounce bottles of Peroni beer to the undercover agent. The next arrest was of Daniel Vroom, 30, of Water Mill at 8:40 p.m. at Muse in the Harbor restaurant on Main Street. Police said Mr. Vroom sold two 16-ounce glasses of Peroni to the agent. The third arrest of the night was of Manuel Naranjo, 28, of Miami, Florida, at 9:20 p.m. at the Lulu Kitchen & Bar, also on Main Street. Police said Mr. Naranjo sold three 12-ounce bottles of Peroni to two undercover agents. The fourth arrest was of Christy Deery, 25, of Sag Harbor at 9:40 p.m. at Page restaurant on Main Street. Police said Ms. Deery sold two 12-ounce bottles of Peroni to the agent.

Each of the four bartenders was charged with one count of unlawfully dealing with a child in the first degree, a class A misdemeanor. All four were released and issued appearance tickets to be arraigned in Sag Harbor Village Justice Court on Friday, September 1.
