Bay Street Theater in Sag Harbor is celebrating the late George Harrison’s 75th birthday with the venue’s fifth annual Beatles Weekend.
On Friday, February 9, and Saturday, February 10, at 8 p.m. East End musicians will perform Beatles tunes composed by Mr. Harrison, “the quiet Beatle.” Among his contributions to the band’s tracks were “While My Guitar Gently Weeps,” “Here Comes the Sun,” “Taxman” and “Something.” The concerts will also feature songs from Mr. Harrison’s 1971 solo album, “All Things Must Pass,” and other tunes from his career post-Beatles.
Returning for Beatles Weekend are muscians Dave Giacone, Fred Gilde, Mick Hargreaves, Dan Koontz, Jeff Levitt and Howard Silverman. Joe Lauro is the producer with musical director Michael Schiano. Special guests are expected to join the band on stage.
