Bay Street Theater in Sag Harbor will hold open casting calls later this month for its 2018 Mainstage Season, welcoming both Equity and non-union actors and actresses who are local to the East End.
The auditions will take place on Monday, February 26, and Tuesday, February 27, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2 to 6 p.m. both days.
The Mainstage Season will begin in May with the world premiere of Jack Canfora’s “Fellow Travelers.” It continues with “Frost/Nixon” by Peter Morgan and concludes with the musical “Evita” by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice.
Open calls will be run by Bay Street Theater Artistic Associate Will Pomerantz and Associate Producer John Sullivan. Actors are asked to prepare a contemporary monologue, no longer than 2 minutes. They may also prepare a few bars of music if they wish to demonstrate singing skills. Performers of all ethnic and racial backgrounds are encouraged to attend, as well as actors with local housing.
