Gail Carpenter Slevin of Sag Harbor died on July 29. She was 70.
Born in Bronxville on November 2, 1943, she was the daughter of Allan Richard Carpenter, who predeceased her, and Carolyn Bowman, who survives. Ms. Slevin was a manager at AT&T. She also was an active member of the Sag Harbor Tree Fund organization and the John Jermain Library development committee.
She is survived by her husband, Neil Slevin; a son, Jonathan Doyle of South Carolina; a sister, Sue Singer of Cortlandt Manor; and a brother, Richard Carpenter of Florida, in addition to her mother. Also surviving are four grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Friday, September 12, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Yardley and Pino Funeral Home in Sag Harbor. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, September 13, at noon at St. Andrew’s Church in Sag Harbor.
