A new build in Sagaponack Village has sold for $14.75 million, one of the biggest Sagaponack sales to date this year.

At 324 Hedges Lane, the New England shingle-style residence on 1.5 acres is by Wainscott’s Michael Davis Design & Construction and offers 6,003 square feet of living space above grade and 3,068 square feet below. It has eight bedrooms, eight full bathrooms and two half-baths.

The entry hall leads to the combined living room and dining room and glass and tall ceilings bring sunlight to all parts of the house, according to Michael David Construction. A bar separates the living and family rooms and connects outside. The kitchen has an oversized island and opens to the spacious breakfast/dining area.

A junior master suite is on the first floor while the master occupies the west wing of the second floor.

The lower level has a large media/recreation room with an adjacent bar. The two-car garage is on the lower level, freeing up living space on the ground floor.

To get up and down the three levels, take the floating staircase under a round turret or the elevator.

Outside, a bluestone terrace stretches the back of the house with a barbecue on one end and a covered porch with a fireplace and television on the other.

The 20-by-50 pool with an 8-by-8 spa and automatic cover is complemented by a pool house with a powder room, steam shower, sauna and outdoor shower. The property also offers a sunken Deco Turf II tennis court.

The property is just two doors down from hundreds of acres of preserved farmland. It came on the market in 2017 asking $19 million.

Terry Cohen of Saunders had the listing. Matt Breitenbach of Compass brought the buyer.
