Former Southampton Town Supervisor Linda Kabot is joining Town & Country Real Estate’s Southampton office.

“I’m excited, I have a new career!” said a cheerful Ms. Kabot on Monday. “I’ve always had an interest in the world of real estate.”

Ms. Kabot served in Southampton Town government for 14 years, including eight years as an elected official. In addition to her knowledge of land use and zoning regulations, she has experience related to real estate sales, rentals, subdivision, construction, appraisal, contract negotiations and innovative marketing.

“Linda brings a wealth of knowledge as a former local government official and administrator in Southampton Town,” Judi Desiderio, CEO and founder of Town & Country, stated in a release.

Senior managing partner Nancy McGann, who will serve as a mentor for Ms. Kabot, added, “Linda’s extensive knowledge of local zoning and land use regulations, hard-working character, and leadership qualities honed in public service make her a valuable asset.”

An honors graduate of the Westhampton Beach School District and Hobart and William Smith College, Ms. Kabot was born and raised in Westhampton. She and her husband, Lance, an industrial arts teacher, live in Quogue with their three sons.

Why, indeed?
And why not mention her DWI while you're at it?
By June Bug (2597), SOUTHAMPTON on Nov 16, 15 7:41 PM
And where have you been with your June bug all this time? The courts threw out that DWI charge as a fictitious PBA hatchet job for Anna. Court evidence showed after their dirty deed, the redneck head of the PBA waking up Anna from her stupor at about 1 am, and proudly declaring "We got her".

Did you not hear that Linda and Anna are both going to be out there putting up balloons and signs announcing open house................wow some career ladder for former supervisors..

Chief1 fearlessly trots out his ruthless ignorance on any occasion!

Say whatever else you want about Linda Kabot, but she did a pretty decent job of bring the Town back from the terrible financial distress Pat Heaney left it in.

I'd also say that professionally, she had a good sense of accountability -- it was the personal denial that did her in.

She seems happy and energized to start a new career. Good grief. Please leave her alone.

Linda Kabot authored the Southampton financial turnaround plan after the space shuttle trajectory of the historically unparalleled town spending Skip Heaney that resulted in massive deficits in Southampton Town accounts such as the Police deficits. He wasted the revenue bonanzas of the 2000s real estate boom by doubling town budgets over about 5 years while laughably campaigning on fiscal discipline!.

It was Linda who put an expenditure and hiring freeze in her first year and worked up ...more

Frank wheeler thinks Linda Kabot is responsible for fixing the financial woes of Southampton? Roflmao Its called macroeconomics improving, tax bases rising, and transfer fees from the state increasing. Laying off a dozen people means little. These local politicians are incapable of financial planning.
