A two-car accident involving a 2006 Jeep Wrangler and a 2003 Dodge Dakota on North Sea Road in Southampton Village sent one man to Southampton Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries on Monday.

According to Southampton Fire Department Captain Chris Brenner, a man was struck broadside on North Sea Road, just south of County Road 39, at 2:18 p.m.

Southampton Village Police Detective Sergeant Herman Lamison said the injured
man complained of chest, back and arm pain. He did not identify the occupants of either vehicle.

Mr. Brenner said the department was on the scene for 15 minutes and helped with the cleanup. Southampton Volunteer Ambulance and Southampton Village Volunteer Ambulance both responded.
