“Rough Night,” a comedy released in theaters earlier this year about a bachelorette party in Miami gone horribly wrong, actually filmed many scenes at a Southampton residence last year.

Then titled “Rock That Body,” the Lucia Aniello-directed film used Richard Rubens’s East Beach Drive house on Peconic Bay—neighbors call it the “‘Miami Vice’ house” for its all-white interior and exterior, large windows, swimming pool and panoramic water view in keeping with that television show’s aesthetic—as a stand-in for an actual Miami home.

The production brought stars Scarlett Johansson, Kate McKinnon, Jillian Bell, Ilana Glazer and Zoe Kravitz to the East End—and they each needed someplace to stay. While Ms. Johansson had the opportunity to lay her head at her Amagansett home next to Napeague State Park, Ms. McKinnon—the “Saturday Night Live” cast member who famously portrayed Hillary Clinton in sketches during the 2016 election cycle and who just won her second Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy—stayed at a Southampton Village condominium. Now that condo in Canterbury Mews is up for sale.

The asking price for Unit 37 at 10 Leland Lane, represented by Aaron Curti and Brenda Giufurta of Douglas Elliman Real Estate, is $995,000. The newly renovated loft-style condo has 3 bedrooms and 3 baths. There’s a gourmet kitchen, master suite and guest suite, and the complex offers pool and tennis.

Hamptons Rental Market Remains Alive and Well

To paraphrase Mark Twain, reports of the demise of the Hamptons summer-rental market are greatly exaggerated. “Any hint that the Hamptons rental market is anything but robust is completely wrong,” said Corcoran associate broker Gary DePersia in East Hampton. An interesting dynamic is stirring in the Hamptons vacation-rental market. Although there has been an unprecedented rise in short-term rentals and the aftershocks of the COVID-19 pandemic linger, it has been a bumper crop year for Wall Street, interest rates have remained steady and a new breed of demanding customer is emerging. Despite it all, the Hamptons vacation-rental market remains as ... 19 Jun 2025 by Joseph Finora
