Sean Laffey will need to clear some wall space this month.
Not only will he be bringing home a diploma next weekend when he graduates eighth in his class from Southampton High School, but last Sunday he was recognized for achieving the highest youth rank in the Boy Scouts.
Sean earned his Eagle Scout award in November, but he was formally honored last weekend at a Court of Honor ceremony at the Southampton United Methodist Church. His fellow Scouts, family and local officials gathered to recognize Sean for reaching a rank that fewer than 4 percent of boys who join Scouting can boast.
