When Bill Wright and Bret Pawhul were in the beginning stages of planning a charity event to raise money for the Have A Heart Community Trust, they were determined to make their event stand out from the typical slate of cocktail parties.
Pawhul and Wright, both 27, are the youngest trustees on the board of Have A Heart and decided to create the inaugural Beach Volleyball Bash to raise money for the charity, which makes donations to local food pantries and helps out needy members of the community in a variety of ways, including providing school supplies and clothes to children.
“This isn’t like your average glitzy Hamptons charity party,” said Rose Dios, co-founder of Have A Heart.
