Peter Miller takes the Eagle Scout Pledge.
A Southampton Boy Scout was recognized last weekend for achieving the highest rank in Scouting, Eagle, a feat that is the culmination of years of dedication to his troop and community.
During a Court of Honor held at the Southampton Elks Lodge on Sunday, Boy Scout Troop 58 presented 18-year-old Peter Miller with his Eagle badge and medal to adorn his uniform and serve as proof of his accomplishments.
Among the requirements an Eagle candidate must complete before his 18th birthday is a service project to benefit his community. For his Eagle project, Peter led a team of volunteers in building a shed for a family of Rwandan refugees who will soon be moving into a Habitat for Humanity home in Bridgehampton.
