John E. Niggles
Lifelong Southampton resident John E. “Jack” Niggles died on June 10 at his home. He was 46.
Born on May 13, 1964, at Southampton Hospital, to Jeanette (née Faunce) and James E. Niggles, he was a graduate of Southampton High School. He worked as a groundskeeper for Suffolk County at Cedar Point Park in East Hampton and also worked at King Kullen in Bridgehampton.
In addition to his parents, Jeanette and Kenneth Zeh of Riverhead (formerly of Southampton) and James E. and Carole Niggles of California, he is survived by a brother, James E. Niggles Jr. and his wife Martha of California; a sister, Jeanne Ann and her husband Raymond Wilkinson of California; a stepbrother, Brian Zeh of Southampton; two nieces, Kayla Wilkinson and Reyna Niggles; and two nephews, Michelle Wilkinson and Edward Niggles.
The family received visitors on June 16 at the O’Connell Funeral Home in Southampton. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 17, at 10 a.m., also at the funeral home, with Monsignor Edmond J. Trench officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Southampton Fire Department Benevolent Fund, P.O. Box 1465, Southampton, New York 11969 would be appreciated by the family.
