Longtime Springs resident Sheila Rudansky died at home on October 31. She was 85.
Born and raised on the South Shore, she retired to the East End from Manhattan in 1992. Survivors said she always loved the wide and open Long Island skies and spent many afternoons at the beaches of Gardiner’s Bay and the ocean shore. A loving and devoted working mother, she was kind, loyal, fair and extremely gentle, along with having a great sense of humor, survivors said. Ms. Rudansky loved beautiful things in life, but more than anything, she loved her family, they said.
Ms. Rudansky is survived by a brother, Harry Karp of New Jersey; four children, Donna Bookman of Connecticut, Daniel Rudansky of Sag Harbor, Matthew Rudansky of Manhattan and Rachel Rudansky of Bridgehampton; six grandchildren, Rebecca Bookman Lew, David Bookman, Alison Rudansky, Andrew Rudansky, Alexandra Rudansky and Julia Rudansky; and a great-grandson, Zachary Lew.
