This year’s selection ranges from the 19th century to present day, from twin- to king-sized bedspreads, from delicate to commanding wall hangings.
“If you want to have a cottage or house with a really neat flair to it, you would want to come here to look at a lovely display of quilts,” Ms. Sirois said, adding with a laugh, “And hopefully you’ll buy one.”
The Water Mill Museum’s 25th annual “Quilt Show and Sale” will run through Monday, September 12, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily. Admission is $5 and free for children age 12 and under. Proceeds benefit the maintenance of the mill and museum. For more information, call 726-4625 or visit watermillmuseum.org.
