A Flanders woman was arrested Tuesday night more than four hours after she left the scene of a four-car crash in Water Mill that sent two people to the hospital with injuries, Southampton Town Police said.
One person was airlifted to Stony Brook University Medical Center with a non-life-threatening head injury following the crash, and the occupant of another car also was sent to a hospital, police said.
The crash took place on Montauk Highway between Bay Avenue and Mecox Road at about 5:30 p.m., officers said.
Town Police Sergeant Howard Kalb said an accident report offering details of the crash was not available as of Wednesday morning.
