Parrish Hosts Big Edie, Little Edie Costume Contest, Screening

The Parrish Art Museum, the Maysles Documentary Center, and the Hamptons International Film Festival hosted an event on Thursday focused on the cult classic documentary, "Grey Gardens." The story of “Big Edie” and “Little Edie” Beale, and the mother and daughter relationship in a decaying East Hampton mansion.

Participants were invited invited to dress in costume as “Big Edie” or “Little Edie” for a contest judged by Grey Gardens own Jerry "the Marble Faun" Torre and Rebekah Maysles, daughter of co-director Albert Maysles. DANA SHAW PHOTOS
