author on Nov 14, 2016

The Parrish Art Museum will host its annual Holiday Party + Market on Friday and Saturday, November 25 and 26, offering opportunities to purchase holiday gifts while enjoying the Water Mill museum’s exhibitions.

The long-held tradition begins Friday with the chance to shop at exclusive vendors from noon to 5 p.m. Then museum patrons may attend a cocktail party benefit from 5 to 8 p.m. The cocktail party will include live music, an open bar, hors d’oeuvres, a silent auction, and book signings by a variety of artists and writers.

April Gornik, Mary Heilmann, Susan Meisel, Donald Sultan, Erica Abeel, and Alex Beard will each be signing books during the cocktail party hours.

The market will reopen Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Among the vendors who will sell their wares are Grain Surfboards, Haverhill Fine Jewelry, India Hicks, LSC Designs Fine & Estate Jewelry, Merrichase, Rose Randolph Cookies, Slater Zorn, Tenzin’s Scarves, and Utopia Bath, Ltd.

During the day, visitors are welcome to shop at the museum store, which will be open all weekend with 20 percent discounts offered to Parrish members. Visitors are welcome to participate in art activities such as gallery tours and art projects between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday. The museum’s “Artists Choose Artists” exhibition is on view, highlighting the works of multiple distinguished artists from across the East End.

Entry to the market is included with museum admission, which is $10 for adults, $8 for seniors, and free for kids, students and Parrish members. For more information on the Holiday Party + Market or to buy tickets for the cocktail party, which start at $150, visit parrishart.org or call 631-283-2118 extension 150.
