The key word for the Westhampton Beach girls basketball team is consistency—something head coach Mike Polan said he hasn’t been getting from his players in recent weeks.
The Lady Hurricanes lost their lone game last week, 38-24, at Shoreham/Wading River on Friday night. The loss dropped Westhampton Beach to 3-5 in League VI, 8-6 overall, and now it has to win three of its final four games to reach the Suffolk County Class A playoffs. The Lady Canes still have to play league-leader Elwood/John Glenn a final time.
