Ann Jeanette ‘Jean’ Dunn of Westhampton Beach Dies January 7

Ann Jeanette “Jean” Dunn of Westhampton Beach died of ovarian cancer at Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead on January 7. She was 67.

Born on April 28, 1948, she was the daughter of William and Margaret (McAtee) Dunn. She graduated from Anderson High School in Indiana in 1966 and then worked for St. John’s Hospital as a lab technician before leaving for New York. She lived in Queens, retiring from Cardinal Pharmaceutical Company as a sales rep.

Survivors said she enjoyed entertaining friends, boating on the Atlantic Ocean and visiting her friends in Albuquerque every year. Once retired, she relocated to her home in Westhampton Beach with her companion, Bill Cooper, her dog, Bear, and her stray cat, Kitty. Mr. Cooper died just five days later.

Ms. Dunn is survived by a brother, Richard “Dick” Dunn and wife Marilyn of Anderson; niece, Nan Bradberry and husband Tim Bradberry; nephew, Steve Dunn and wife Lori; great-nieces, Whittney Bradberry and companion Jason Stocklin, and Brittney Kimmerer; great-nephew, Ryan Bradberry; great-great-niece, Ryleigh Kimmerer; and great-great nephew, Levi Stocklin; and many friends in Westhampton and Albuquerque.

She was predeceased by her parents; sister, Terry Dunn; and brother, John Dunn.

In accordance with her wishes, Ms. Dunn’s ashes will be scattered over the Sandia Mountains in Albuquerque by her brother, Dick.

Local arrangement were handled by Follett & Werner Funeral Home in Westhampton Beach. Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service assisted with the arrangements in Indiana. Condolences may be left at rozelle-johnson.com.
