Sally M. Keppler of Westhampton Beach, formerly of Jupiter, Florida, and Garden City, died on January 30. She was 82.
Ms. Keppler was born on January 8, 1932, in Lockport, to Helen and Francis Mooney. She graduated from William Smith College and married her college sweetheart, Dr. Robert B. Keppler, in 1952. After living in Japan for two years with the U.S. Navy, the couple settled in Garden City. Ms. Keppler was very active in civic affairs including Mercy Hospital and the American Cancer Society. She loved dancing, tennis and spending time with family and friends, survivors said.
Ms. Keppler is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Elizabeth and Mark McCloy of Illinois and Kimberlee and Keith Overlander of Manhasset. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Billy and Elizabeth McCloy and Kacie, Jake and Kevin Overlander. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert.
Funeral services were held at Fairchild Sons Funeral Home in Garden City on February 2 and interment was at Locust Valley Cemetery on February 3.
