The Westhampton Beach Family Fun Holiday Festival is taking over Main Street this Saturday, December 8, full of themed activities for families to enjoy.

From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., guests will be able to bounce around Main Street and enjoy various games and crafts held inside a dozen stores throughout the business district. Candy canes will be displayed in storefront windows to let visitors know which shops are participating.

Out on the street, Emily’s Apple Puffs Food Truck will offer sweet treats like funnel cakes and fried Oreos and the Big Black Food Truck will have traditional burgers and fries. A Bideawee adoption van will also be parked outside with puppies and kittens looking for a loving home.

Participating locations include Good Westhampton, Kerrigan’s Country Realty, Beach Bakery, Lynne’s Cards and Gifts, SugarDaddy’s Toys, Chic, Tweed and Tweed Toys, Impulse for Men, the Westhampton Beach Free Library and Mustique, as well as Pawcasso Art Studio and Pet Boutique on Moniebogue Lane.

Children can make ornaments and snowflakes, sip on hot chocolate, partake in a candy cane toss, meet Santa and other Christmas characters and sit in on a holiday book reading, while parents enjoy sales in the stores.

The Greater Westhampton Chamber of Commerce has organized the event for over 10 years and wanted to continue the tradition. For anyone who purchases holiday gifts at the event, the chamber will offer free gift wrapping at the Chamber Holiday Center, located at the former Books and Books store at 126 Main Street.

Gabrielle Lehman, the chamber’s administrator, said that in the same center, Westhampton Beach High School Key Club members will be dressed up as Christmas characters and Wicked Sisters’ Tea will serve hot tea.

“It’s just going to be a lot of fun,” Ms. Lehman said, adding that chamber members try to organize the festival to be different every year.
