Wine Tasting at Robert’s

Advanced Sommelier Chris Miller and Paul De Verna of Hamptons Wine Club will be hosting one of the Wine Club’s complimentary wine tastings on Friday, February 19, at 6:30 p.m. at Robert’s restaurant on Montauk Highway in Water Mill. A $33 prix fixe menu for three courses will be available at Robert’s that evening. The second February tasting will be at Annona Restaurant in Westhampton on Wednesday, February 24, at 6:30 p.m., with a $30 prix fixe menu available for three courses.

The third February tasting will be at Ruve East in Port Jefferson on Thursday, February 25, at 6:30 p.m. Prix fixe pricing had not been set at press time.

The goal of these tastings is to showcase the top 10 labels the two men have been impressed by over the last 30 days and to share them, and some of their expertise, with other wine lovers, who are invited to stay for dinner. Each restaurant offers a prix fixe menu for attendees. he Eighth Annual “Hamptons Restaurant Week,” slated to begin on Sunday, March 21, and run through Sunday, March 28, is now accepting participants at www.hamptonsrestaurantweek.com. Open to a variety of businesses, this joint regional marketing campaign designed to create a surge in business during a quiet time of year is seeking participation by all local wineries, lodging and spa properties on the East End.

or eight days, all participating restaurants offer their own unique prix fixe menus for $19.95 or $24.95, or both $19.95 and $24.95, all night, except on Saturday when the special will be offered only until 7 p.m. Diners may try discounted bottles of wine from participating vineyards for $19.95 or $24.95 per bottle at select restaurants.

Vineyards may offer discounts in tasting rooms; diners may rest between meals at East End lodging properties offering discounted rates; and spa participants will offer specials tailored to the promotion. To sign up as a participant, visit www.hamptonsrestaurantweek.com or call 631-329-0050.
