Town Will Investigate Charges Of Code Violations At Springs Home

If this has been bothering you Mr. Buda for ten years as the article states, where were you two years ago? Four years ago? Six years ago? Seems to me you had no problem with it when the past administration was ignoring it.
Kudos to the Wilkinson administration for assessing the situation, discovering the dysfunction within, and making positive changes to address the complaints in a proffesional manner.

Didn't we have two Springs people on the Board? (Foster and Blowin?) How'd that work out for ya? Not saying Springs doesn't have talent on the political level, but let's get someone intelligent, independant and not ethically challenged this time 'round." Mar 1, 11 9:12 AM

Independence Party Chairman Endorses Wilkinson

Elaine Jones loved Wilkinson - up until the time he publicly told her that he expects every town employee to work hard, be respectful and abandon the past practice mentality that some have clung to dearly. Her response was to withdraw her support. While she was right about McGintee, his demise empowered her to the point where she began to act as if she were the elected official. She has made it abundantly clear that it is her way or the highway. I for one, am proud of our Supervisor for standing up to this bully, and more importantly: recognizing what behaviors have lead to this Town's finacial (and ethical) demise and his determination to keep them from continuing." Southampton High School Student Will Not Return To School After Shotgun Arrest, District Says

My kids are not at this school and I have no info through the grapevine. But forming an opinion solely on reading the article I would say this teen wanted to make a point. He did - and now must be made to understand that there are consequences to actions (even at 17). His parents need to turn this around. I can appreciate them wanting to protect their son. But once he turns 18 his "honest mistakes" will no longer be treated as youthful offender status. This kid needs attention -quick." Nov 1, 11 10:18 AM

East Hampton Town and Surf Lodge Settle For $100,000

The "Wilkinson team" re-vamped the Public Saftey Division, hiring new management for Code Enforcement. The Attorneys who prosecuted are Wilkinson hirees as well. Credit all involved for hard work and due dilligence in the face of constant criticism." May 15, 12 11:11 AM
