Bishop Explains Vote Against Debt Ceiling Increase

well, then there is no convincing you and i wish you good luck. as for me, i'll rest comfortably in my knowledge that these evil wealthy people are the folks that hire the workers. and when the economy is as uncertain as it has been with no positive prospects, evil employers learn to get the job done with as little staff as possible. as for the auto companies, of the $63 Billion that they received, about 10% was in the form of ''loans''. yes, $53 Billion is chump change in this era but when i ''give'' or ''loan'' 53 Billion dollars to someone and get 7 Billion dollars back, I'm still looking for the other loot. check politi-fact or factcheck.org for the real truth, not the philathome truth." New Southampton Village Police Chief Will Seek Closer Ties With Other Police Agencies

it would seem to be to be a problem with the old school media rather than bloggers. when the media stopped becoming objective observers, it became impossible to find any honesty on television or in the print media, in my opinion. but to suggest that this isn't happening, also without any references is sort of the same. to me, it doesn't seem that far out of the real of possibility at all. and to suggest that it be allowed because kids that are drinking out of the bottle then driving home are enjoying the rites of passage is silly." at 13% minority that everyone in america already hates, seems like a waste of time. its pretty fascinating to see you upset at two people that clearly disagree, actually be able to have a moment of respectful understanding. and yes, i must be a nut for going against you...go ahead and let me have it..." Jun 14, 11 8:36 AM

its human nature to be angry and filled with hatred about things you fear or don't understand. in this case, it a little of both. if responding is a sign of being upset to you, then to you, it will seem like a big victory! if haters is 7th grade, then captain crunch is 4th grade too don't you think? all smiles bro! thanks dude. hahaha." we have a very serious situation right here and now and nothing that anyone has done in the past really matters. we need decisive action now. because what is going on out there...or out here...where nancy pelosi's wealth grows by 62% along with the wealth of the ruling class whilst they giggle, play golf and yuk it up with jokes about shovel ready projects not being as shovel ready as they thought. these people aren't just lying to people in the opposite party, they are lying to all of us. we stay divided, they play golf together and stumble off into the sunset. and that's not with just one party's hard earned money...that's with everyone's hard earned money." Former Southampton Town Employee Files Complaint Claiming She Was Wrongfully Terminated

sounds like ms. troge got caught up in the votex of the p.c. bubble that seems to be waning from its heights of the late 1990s and early 2000s. before they created the position, someone could have mentioned that a town affirmative action officer is a needless position. but, the affirmative action officer is sure her firing is retaliation for trying to create fairness, which sounds like what her job description was all about. now, she was let go for being too fair, according to her and her attorney who is surely worried about fairness. but the town wants to separate the person overseeing fairness from the people doing the hiring, so that there is an internal person to catch other internal people being unfair - seemingly. now ms. troge was part of the "General Services/Business Management Department" which was overseen by the "Town Management Services Administrator". And now, its going to cost at minimum $10,000 to defend the firing of the Affirmative Action Officer if it was indeed found that her firing was retaliation for being too focused on fairness. And if that's the case, she's going to need back pay and expenses etc... paid back, so she can get back to ensuring that everyting is fair. And shockingly, the town now realizes that it needs to "explore changes in town functions which would result in greater efficiencies and cost savings and has previously made other changes in the Department of Business Management" Is it any wonder they never, ever have enough of our tax dollars to spend?" Southampton Village Officials Dispute New York Post Allegations

the life expectancy of a police officer after retirement - because of stress, changing shift work and other factors is currently 15-17 years less than non-police officers in retirement. Perhaps its not as stressful around the hamptons, but the job is still one of the few that I know of where you could easily be shot or killed in another way in the normal course of your day. funny, not sure any of us can even relate to that. so summertime, sure you can apply yuk, yuk, yuk, but the class warfare about who makes what and how much people can afford to give up and all of that is tacky and should end." you ought to run against both bishop and altschuler philathome. there doesn't seem to be a single socio-economic-political issue for which you do not have the obvious perfect solution. your insight is vast , you appear to have the diplomatic communication skills, possess deep knowledge of both domestic and foreign policy as well as a keen sense of the humanities, you definitely have that intangible sixth sense of the discretion to not state anything unless you have done your research and are sure of its validity - have you ever thought about politics? Southampton Supervisor Calls For Group To Explore Effects Of Plastic Bag Ban

agree with mr. z...just no. time to move on from plastic bags. you want educational? drive the length of sunrise highway and look to the left and right along the sides of the road. there are your plastic bags mr. cullen. get local businesses to sponsor paperbags, logos on the side, that will off-set your costs and will get folks to re-cycle paper bags and use them for other purposes. at $6.00 for a box of cereal, you can afford paper bags." phil, can you please give us some insight on the ''equality idealized in the declaration of independence". I believe it stated that ''men are created equal''. I don't recall anything about "all men are to be treated equally economically and educationally" the whole gig, means (to me, i wasn't there, so it appears to be up for some interpretation) that you come into this world naked and endowed with the same rights as everyone else. what you do with it is up to you. the world will always leave some behind, not much anyone can do about that. but you're free to unload your bank account and be the great equalizer - that's where free will comes in. i believe the framers were trying to limit the power of government and increase the individual freedoms. sounds like a plan to me." Jun 20, 11 6:27 AM

phil, would you also mind building on this statement as well, i have read and re-read it and just cannot figure out what to what you are referring:

"Right now in this country there is a movement to deconstruct the infrastructure that creates and promotes equality among those who represent the backbone of our society and favors extending the priveleges of power at the expense of forcing servitude by removing any vestiges of fair and just compensation from the working class and rewarding those who have no concerns for their own ability to survive and thrive.
We have not yet acheived equality because we have all judged others in ways we would not like to be judged ourselves."

actually, she probably did this to herself! she was so good at making everything very fair, she said that fairness was her life's work. could it be that she was so effective that everything was pretty much as fair as it could be and there was no more opportunities to increase fairness. so, with everything perfectly fair, what is left for a person whose job description is to ensure fairness. there is a lot of unfairness in the world, everywhere you look, boom..there it is....as clear as day...unfairness. this woman should have significant opportunities at other firms or municipalities where there exists significant unfairness." no more queries..i can take it from here. you are all washed up sir. you have been outed as someone who has no real premise and no real foundation for your beliefs other than you are upset at people that have more than you. at every opportunity you spout absolute nonsense...go back and re-read what breathless responses you gave to very simple questions. 110% utter nonsense. now, you said something very telling...just because there is not a law saying its not a crime doesn't mean that it isn't. well sir, no, you are absolutely wrong. if it ain't against the law it ain't a crime! YOU may not like it, understand it or participate in it, but not everyone with more money than you is doing something illegal...either in the actual law's opinion or your own twisted, rambling, incoherent bologna.

i would like the record to show that when mr. z was presented with a scenario whereby he to be hired for pay, but it was eventually deemed that he had too much and the excess was to be used to assist the aged, the poor, the unfortunate and those in dire need of help.... mr. z balked and did not want an arbitrary party deciding he had too much in order to confiscate his hard earned income...so he could use it how he wanted and perhaps opt on his own to give his hard earned income to charity. welcome to the club pal!!" Upcoming Changes For Southampton Town Leaf Program

I thought this is the way the entire process should work....the people pay the taxes. the people want leaf pick up. so, the civil servants empowered by the same tax payers are supposed to provide the services desired by the people i.e. leaf pick up. the problem isn't that the town isn't collecting enough in tax proceeds, the problem is that they misplace, waste and otherwise mismanage the loot they confiscate. this story is about fiscal irresponsibility and the leaf program is yet another (almost) casualty at the expense of the little guy."
