Southampton Town Trustee candidate Chris Garvey (D)

Editor..... Fix your headline..... he is a candidate not an incumbent." Nov 1, 09 4:53 PM

Southampton Town Trustee incumbent Eric Shultz (R)

LOL!!!!!!! He is the Trustee historian but he has little if any historical knowledge. His experience is what should get him booted or actually others experience in their dealings with him. I think you may be confusing him with someone who cares about anything but himself!
Frank is right about the bait & switch he pulled on the Westhampton Cemetery issue that was deplorable. He can't be Trusted!!! How can he be a Trustee?
Just look at his face in the picture he is smirking, very unbecoming!!!! " Nov 2, 09 11:46 AM

Southampton Town Trustee candidate Bill Pell (D)

Indeed, Good choices lets can self serving Shultz & Brian "Houdini" Tymann!
It's time for Trustees for the people not themselves! " Nov 2, 09 11:53 AM

Southampton Town Trustee incumbent Jon Semlear (R)

I agree with you on this, but you are so off base with your support of Shultz as a women I can't believe you would support someone who thinks you have no business outside the kitchen or bedroom!" Nov 2, 09 11:56 AM

Southampton Town Trustee incumbent Brian Tymann (R)

Brian Tymann can't make two meetings a month, 24 a year! That's unacceptable the Trustee meetings are on set days if he can't plan his schedule around them then he doesn't take his position seriously enough to be re-elected. He didn't show at the debate at the HB senior center, all the other incumbents & candidates did. He has other priorities that take precedent. This is a paid position, he is short changing all of us when he doesn't show! Time to go!" Nov 2, 09 12:58 PM

Sorry I forgot the laundry!" Nov 2, 09 1:01 PM

Southampton Town Board incumbent Christopher Nuzzi (R,I,C)

Nuzzi needs to go he is ineffectual as a councilperson!!!! Bye, Bye Crookhaven!" Nov 2, 09 1:04 PM

Southampton Town Board candidate Jim Malone (C,R,I)

Lay- offs are needed why should Town employees be exempt from feeling the economic pinch everyone else is feeling? While increasing it on us by necessitating the tax cap raise due to the inefficiency at the jobs.
Time to trim the fat!
The full Town Board continued to create new positions after Malone had warned them to brace for the reduced Mortgage Tax Revenues! The only one who wasn't there at that time was Sally Pope. Linda knew yet continued to let payroll obligations increase.

I believe that is covered under laundry! We'll have to check with Eric on that though!" Nov 2, 09 1:20 PM

Sewing is another acceptable use for women under the Shultz doctrine. " Nov 2, 09 1:23 PM

Commanding officer of Coast Guard Station Montauk relieved of command

You are bitter and angry which is unfortunate, because dealing with your daily suffering could be easier with a better attitude. I think what he did was not as big a deal as it's being made out to be! If you choose to wish me a lifetime of pain & suffering so be it, it is more of your bad attitude. You suffered an unfortunate accident but to wish pain on others shows a lack of class & compassion, both of which members of the Coast Guard should exhibit. Maybe you were never cut out to do it in the first place. Either way an attitude adjustment could do you wonders.
Your statement about "heavy weather" is suspect what were the conditions on the day you were injured? The conditions on this day wouldn't have qualified as "heavy weather" there were swells but swells alone don't make "heavy weather". Hopefully you will improve your situation by combining a mental, spiritual & physical approach to healing, your anger can only further debilitate you." Nov 3, 09 4:16 AM

Dune Road flood fix is expected to cost $7 million

Come on you fools, raise it 2 1/2 to 3 ft that way when more of the polar ice cap melts you don't have to do it again in five years! Funny how the Inlet is being dredged soon which will let more water in to the bay & cause more flooding at times of high tides. The flooding in Shinnecock Bay has gotten worse since the geniuses at the Army Core of Engineers dredged out all of the sand from the flood shoal on the Bay side of the Inlet. Mr. Leo said it wasn't as bad back in 1998 when he purchased his home, the flood shoal was intact at that time!" Nov 3, 09 4:32 AM

Throne-Holst defeats Kabot; Nuzzi and Malone beat Pope and Fleming

I have seen Sgts on patrol so that negates your statement about no one on patrol making over $100,000. This is one of the highest paid police force in the nation & that isn't enough for them? You claim they are the only people who say goodbye to there family's not knowing if they will come home, this is ridiculous being a Southampton Town Cop is not dangerous! When was the last time if ever one died in the line of duty? You want to talk justification of danger on the job as to pay scale? How about our military? They are paid considerably less & take a much greater risk! As for your assertions of ignorance, look in the mirror the SHPD is bleeding this town dry & it needs to stop. There are too many cops making too much for doing too little. I'm not speaking of the patrolman but the do nothing office jockeys. " Nov 4, 09 12:18 PM

Nuzzi is an unfortunate product of this election, But Malone will be good!" Nov 4, 09 12:25 PM

Come on littleplains you're smarter than that she would go to Yaphank's DWI trailer but not on a first offense!" Nov 4, 09 12:28 PM

NOT FIRED!!! RETIRED!!! They were contractually obligated to retire after their 20 years & should do so. Fighting for ones job is different than fighting to break ones contract! The chief choose them they don't want to go because it's a cake walk of a job!" Nov 4, 09 9:26 PM

Like I said never an officer lost in the line of duty. The stabbing at the dinner is a poor example of danger, as it was a STABBING! The SHPD carry guns, a punk with a knife is hardly a danger & besides by the time they got there he was gone!
You said none of us leave for work not knowing if we will make it back, I think all of us are in that same position, you never know when your number is up! A friend of mine got killed a few years ago changing his tire on the side of the road. To say they go to work not knowing if they will make it home when it has never happened is like chicken little saying the sky is falling! They are human just like us so please don't act like they are all perfect. There is good & bad in every department." Nov 4, 09 9:36 PM

Southampton considering new graveyard protection laws

I think the were meaning to say out of the lower 48 states only 4 don't have this type of law in place yet. It's long overdue here in Southampton Town. Although a $5,000 fine & jail time (which would probably never happen) isn't much of a deterrent to someone with a multi-million dollar project that would have to stop upon the notification of any discovery on the property. Maybe they should consider upping the fine to something a little more formidable such as $50,000 or 100,000. " Nov 7, 09 1:53 AM

Dune Road flood fix is expected to cost $7 million

It was built it 1926 by the Phips Estate corp, at the time it was built it was three feet above water level of Shinnecock Bay. Since the Inlet was opened & continues to be stabilized with dredging & rock revetments the water level in the bay has risen by two & a half feet or so. " Nov 7, 09 2:04 AM

Song offers timeline to fatal struggle

Oddone over reacted to the push by Mr. Reister and will receive time in prison, how long remains to be seen. It seems most on here condemn Oddone for his excessive use of physical force and temper that brought it on. Yet, none of you seem to think that Mr. Reister did anything wrong when he initiated the physical contact in the first place. Don't twist this, I'm not saying what Oddone did was justified in anyway, but I am saying that Reister was not an innocent bystander who was in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Bouncers, Security or ID Checkers whatever you want to call them are suppose to diffuse situations in bars, nightclubs; pushing someone then walking away is not the way to create a safer setting. " Nov 8, 09 12:33 PM

Southampton Town Trustee incumbent Brian Tymann (R)

LOL.... He was on hear reading this as he was being voted out!!! Hah who isn't being taken seriously now Lame Duck? I notice he didn't dispute or give excuses for not making the debates!
I believe him about his grandmother & am sorry for the loss. As for his solar conference badge that is quite alright as it is still inexcusable & I have toilet paper!" Nov 8, 09 11:32 PM

Tymann defeat mocked at cemetery that clashed with Southampton Town Trustees

Looks like Brian should've made an effort to attend the debates that all the other's run for Trustee attended. He blames the number of endorsements & ballot position, but not his absence from the debates! The cemetery won't be getting the land swap but best of all you sir are OUT!!! LOL!!! Don't let the door hit yah where the good lord split yah:)!!!" Nov 11, 09 2:21 PM
