UPDATE: Pedestrian Killed In Bridgehampton Accident Identified As Anna Pump; Police Identify Driver

What a heartbreak! Anna was such a hard worker and her face is one of the most recognizable ones in Bridgehampton--I remember her as far back as the 70's when she ran the original Loaves & Fishes and everyone lined up for her delectable food! My heartfelt condolences to her family and her dear friends! " Oct 6, 15 3:52 PM

More Than 1,700 Unknown Graves Discovered In Southampton Village

This is one of the most precious historical sites in Southampton and probably the whole of the Hamptons. We need to take care of it, carefully and with absolute respect for those who are buried there. These are our ancestors, many of whom braved the trip from Lynn Massachusetts and the years of struggle to survive as the very first settlers here on Long Island.
Think of it:
They braved the storms, the heat of summer and the cold of winter all the while trying to keep food on their makeshift tables in their humble shacks and underground dugouts. These were courageous people who relied completely on Mother Nature to survive; they made their homes and lively-hoods in spite of their primitive conditions!...And look at what is here today! Let's keep these local heroes in mind and let's keep reminding visitors and our local citizenry of what and who came before us--before it is ALL gone!" Oct 13, 16 11:59 AM
