First Responders Help Save Quiogue Man's Life On Sunday

You comments are completely in correct and I would love to know where you get your facts from. This man in question walked out of the hospital last week and is currently home resting. Please reframe from making stupid comments without fact behind them. " Mar 29, 16 1:46 PM

Warren Booth Will Keep Job With Hampton Bays Water District, Over Town Supervisor's Objection

Mr Gregory, I can respect your point! As friends it is our job to be honest with each other, no matter how painful the truth is. My disagreement with you is the fact that you state he should keep his job. He is a thief, and a liar, points that you as a friend try to overlook. If he had not be caught then he would most likely continue with stealing funds that do not belong to him. Why should he be allowed to keep his benefits, his potential pension and all the perks that go with it? We can do a 1000 good thing is life, but 1 mistake can change all of that. Who's to say it will never happen again? Bad judgment? Absolutely! Should he benefit from it? Absolutely NOT!." May 24, 16 10:55 AM

UPDATE: West Point Cadet Dies After Coopers Beach Incident

Accidents happen all the time. It amazes me how the Chief's of some departments have to go to the media to defend their crews that are doing outstanding work as volunteers. Last year the Chief of Westhampton had to defend his crews for a drowning they had because people estimate that it took a prolonged period of time for personnel to response. Unless you volunteer your time and commit to an organization such as the brave men an women that currently do, maybe just say thank you for leaving your family, your party, your kids graduation and coming out unpaid an helping a citizen in need. Unfortunately not everyone can be saved, but our volunteers from all the district ambulance and fire departments work very hard to protect us. THANK YOU ALL FOR WHAT YOU DO!!!!!" Jun 28, 16 2:14 PM

Driver Charged In Crash That Injured Six In Westhampton Beach

Does anyone that works for the paper ever do research before writing a story? First, it was not a man but a women that was airlifted. Second, you say it was alcohol and then in the main article it was drugs. Which one was it? Third, there were not 4 people extricated from the vehicle. Only the driver was. The 4 children were on the side of the road. At least get all the facts before you write so garbage article that you need to keep updating every few hours to correct your own mistakes. Just poor journalism. " Aug 18, 16 12:58 PM

One Hospitalized After Saturday Crash In Speonk

Why does a Fire Department spoke's person tell the paper the injuries? Why does the paper not ask the Ambulance Chief what the extend of the injuries were. The person did not have an open femur fracture. This man had an evisiration, or the skin peeled back. Yes extension bleeding that required a trauma gauze, not a tourniquet. And this man was in and out of because of a bleed in his brain. Mr Dalen, who obviously loves to see his name in the paper is just as bad as the journalist that are writing the articles. No one seems to want to fact check anything. They just get something to put into the paper. Quite Sad!!!" Jul 11, 17 3:09 PM

Suspensions And At Least One Hospitalization Precede Crack Down On Vape Use At Westhampton Beach High School

A call to the Westhampton Ambulance Chief Al Tudisco went unanswered because he has been chief there for 4 years. This paper is absolutely horrible!!!" Nov 14, 17 3:30 PM

Westhampton Beach Village Police Put Forward Plan To Station Armed Officer In Schools

Hambone, if I didn't know better I would think that you have a personnel vendetta against Chief Gonce they way you continue to bash him. Please stop thinking that a school shooting cannot and will not happen in little WHB. That's where most happen. Sandy Hook and Parkland are little quite quaint towns just like ours. And so what if he wears 3 stars on his collar. And honestly I'm glad the CHIEF is thinking like a foot patrol officer. Means he is still grounded on the goings on of the people, the community and his officers. In stead of bashing him, maybe say Thank you and move on. Either you need to be quite unless you can offer a real solution to the issue that our children are involved in." Mar 6, 18 3:54 PM

Parents To Take New Legal Action Against District After Son Is Rejected From Volunteer Position

I for one applauded the Killorans. All they are asking for is that there son not be treated differently because he has a disability. It amazes me with some of these comments that people just don't get the little things in life that matter to our children. They are not sue happy, they are fighting for what is right. Apparently none of you have a child with a disability so you have no idea how that child feels be excluded. And the aide is not a paid position, but volunteer. All you needed to do was actually read the article to see that!" Jun 12, 18 1:34 PM

Vacant Coast Guard Homes Expected To Be Auctioned Off This Summer; Neighbors Concerned About Future Of Neighborhood

That neighborhood that everyone seems to be so concerned about now is a travesty to what is was when I owned my home there on Cook Street. The house's on the old Air Force side look mostly run down with the exception of a few. There are drug dealers living in that area and nothing done about that, that is why I sold and moved to a different area in Westhampton. Mr Markowitz, the President of the Association is troubled by the fact that "slumlords" will purchase the house's and be absentee. Fix the current housing issues and help the Police get rid of the dealers and then the neighborhood will become more attractive for hard working people. " Jun 12, 18 1:44 PM

Eastport Community, Lawmakers Vow To FIght 'Monster' Poles Until They Are Removed

Why would they need to "consult" with anyone outside of their company? They provide a service to the community and as a private company they do not need to consult anyone. This whole metal pole issue is just another thing for people with nothing to do to complain about. Where was the protest as they were going up? PS&G has the right to use whatever they want to use to ensure the complainers have power. This whole pole issue is just absolutely ridiculous and a complete waste of time. " Jul 9, 18 9:56 AM

Firefighters Battle Blaze At Westhampton Beach Liquor Store Tuesday Morning

Its truly amazes me that people will comment just to see their name in the paper. Hambone, you are the complete opposite of class act. These men and women that volunteer for the Fire Department or Ambulance services dedicate hundreds of hour a year for training and calls. They leave their families, parties, vacations and family functions to help those in need. Instead of trying to show disrespect for these hero's, trying volunteering your time to help the community you live in. And maybe you should leave your house and tour LI as the fire house isn't even close to being one of the largest on LI. " Jul 12, 18 11:21 AM
