Protesters Gather In East Hampton Village To Oppose Deer Culling

The issue is not to cull or not it is should the USDA cull planned for Feb 2014 proceed. By their own admission culling less than 40% of the does will result in a temporary reduction of the deer population followed by a rebound effect accelerating the current population explosion. Better to do nothing than something so stupid. There are many ways to address this issue none of which are immediate final solutions. Why are we taking an action that we predict will aggravate the problem?" Jan 19, 14 10:31 AM

East Hampton Village May Silence Gas-Powered Leaf Blowers

Most of these comments make no sense. The extra speed of gas power is unnecessary and destructive of our human health. If the purpose is to remove leaves, use a rake and a vacuum shredder. Blowing the leaves is harmful to the natural environment and unhealthy to the humans in the neighborhood.

Perry Gershon Wins Democratic Primary For Congressional Seat Tuesday

Kate Browning received 651 and Gershon received 493 votes in East Hampton. This fact is contrary to Zeldin's claim that Gershon is out of touch with people who live in Brookhaven. We all need to stop following the crowd and start leading. Ad hominem campaigning and reporting (directed against a person rather than the position they are maintaining) is the primary fault of the Republican Party. Perry Gershon is an East Hampton resident, but he represents all District 1 Democrats. The truth is that the Federal Primary was a great start for a True Blue Wave!" Jun 29, 18 8:45 AM
