UPDATE: Pedestrian Killed In Bridgehampton Accident Identified As Anna Pump; Police Identify Driver

What a sad and senseless end to such a wonderful life. We've lost an important member of our community.

No mention is made of the driver -- did he or she stop? are any charges being filed? I hope Anna never knew what happened and died peacefully.

Friends Of The Library Book Shop In Southampton Is A Home Away From Home For Volunteers

Ditto to what is written above by Joanne Handloser -- the expertise, dedication and hard work of Joan Whitman and Joyce Hartman made the Friends bookshop the welcoming, well-organized and vital community resource it is today, and the commitment of the volunteers who have followed them, like Susan Johns, guarantee its continued success. If the children's section was "a wreck" (I prefer the term "in delightful disarray") when Ms Johns happened into the bookshop in 2006 it was evidence that some happy youngsters had recently been searching and selecting. It's what kids do. And reshelfing books and restoring order is what volunteers do. Written by a volunteer in recognition and appreciation of those who paved the way." Nov 21, 17 10:58 AM

Southampton Town Police Detective Sergeant Lisa Costa Settles Discrimination Lawsuit

Sgt. Costa is a hard-working, dedicated police officer who has continued to serve Southampton Town despite the discrimination and sexual harassment she faced on the force. The town's willingness to settle is confirmation that her charges were based in fact. You naysayers out there should work as hard as she does. Get a life!!!" Nov 24, 17 4:15 PM
