UPDATE: PDD Would Have Less Nitrogen Impact, According To Gobler's Latest Environmental Report On 'The Hills'

156 acres is nearly 6.8 MILLION square feet. You're worried about 6000 square feet of clubhouse area and a 500 foot long driveway?" Aug 27, 17 12:54 PM

Obviously you're not a golfer." Aug 27, 17 12:56 PM

Incorrect wording on the updated article. The "fertigation" system, as they call it, will not "inject" any fertilizers in to the irrigation system. It will simply use the existing groundwater, from areas of higher nitrogen concentration where the wells will be drilled, and use that as their irrigation water. It will then be used by the plant and therefore slowly reduced from the groundwater. It's pretty simple science, and for whatever reason many critics of this project choose to ignore or deny it." UPDATE: Southampton Town Board Signs Off Thursday On Environmental Study For 'The Hills'

Hey slappy, not everybody thinks like you do chief. Small business owners will benefit. Everybody associated with the school, especially the students, will benefit. Nearby residents will benefit with brand new septic systems. There are plenty of people who will benefit aside from builders and contractors. " Sep 15, 17 10:35 AM
