Congratulations, it seems you managed to address everything but the point." Jun 2, 09 9:07 AM
I switched to DirecTV in 2006 and never looked back. My only relationship with the cable company is for broadband internet. It's difficult (and too competitive) for them to jerk people around on that, because it's only one service and it's easy to make an apples to apples comparison.
I do appreciate the irony that these service providers simply have no concept of service at all. " Jul 17, 09 10:48 PM

"The facts are that no civilian in this country has any reason to own an XM-15 assault rifle"
Why should one require a reason to exercise a right set forth in the Constitution of the United States? " Nov 20, 09 12:01 PM
I believe you may have misunderstood --
The first statement is in quotations because I was quoting someone else's comment.
The second is my response to that statement, saying that no civilian in this country should require a reason to exercise a right that is theirs, is protected by the US Constitution, and has been repeatedly upheld by the courts. This is not my opinion, it's the law of the land. I just happen to agree.
I have no problem with your opinion that assault rifles are fun to shoot, make you happy, and therefore help you in your pursuit of happiness. I happen to agree with that also." Nov 20, 09 12:32 PM
The lesson to be learned from this, is that if you want to really screw someone, all you need to do is leave some contraband in their car and make a phone call.

According to the headline, it claims "Kabot Says District Attorney Should Be Ashamed", but in the story, she is quoted as attributing this statement to her attorney.
Perhaps a small difference, but it's misleading nonetheless.

The article stated that the recovered firearm was a shotgun. From that, how does one infer that we're talking about an "assault weapon"?" Oct 26, 11 3:29 PM
Because someone thinks a firearm is an "assault weapon" by flawed deduction does not make it so.
Besides, knowing the names of different types of guns wasn't necessary; the type of gun was provided in the article.
