Southampton Town Police have reported a vehicle accident in front of Goldberg's Famous Bagels shop on County Road 39 in Tuckahoe on Thursday afternoon. The accident has closed westbound lanes, and traffic is being routed through turning lanes, according to police. At approximately 4:30 p.m. a Police Department spokeswoman said that the roadway had been reopened. Two vehicles were involved, she said, and no injuries were reported.

Suffolk County Police have arrested two men who fled the scene after their vehicles struck and killed a former Sag Harbor resident as she crossed Wicks Road in Brentwood early Monday, April 15. Alison Pfefferkorn, 41, was taken to South Shore Hospital in Bay Shore, where she was pronounced dead. Police said Pfefferkorn was crossing the road at 5:10 a.m. when she was struck by a southbound 2020 Toyota Highlander that was driven by Luis Vasquez, 59, of Brentwood. Police said Vasquez fled the scene but was arrested later that morning and charged with leaving the scene of an accident ...

Sag Harbor Cinema will screen Anne Belle’s 1976 film short film “Baymen — Our Waters are Dying,” recently restored by the New York Public Library, together with Greek filmmaker Leon Loisios’ “Fishermen and Fishing” (1961).
