The hamlet of Water Mill had been a bit quiet in the real estate department—but that ended with the report of a healthy eight-figure sale, followed by a couple of other handsome transactions.

The big-money deal in Water Mill was the sale of 47 Crescent Avenue to an LLC for $14,350,000. Bordering a 34-acre reserve and right by Mecox Bay, the 8,600-square-foot home on 2.6 acres has 10 bedrooms and 12 baths. “Enter into breathtaking light-filled living space graced by walls of glass through a dramatic double-height foyer beautified by finished white oak floors,” we’re told. “An expansive great room, den/media room and formal living room are exquisitely designed with coffered ceilings and enriched with striking fireplaces.”

The chef’s kitchen is equipped with a premium stainless-steel appliance package to inspire culinary creations. Huge glass doors off the main entertaining areas lead to the patios, pool, and lush lawn areas. The sprawling first level also houses a guest master suite with fireplace, two powder rooms, a mudroom with custom cubbies, and a radiant-heated three-car garage. The upstairs master wing stretches from the front to the rear of the home. Five ensuite bedrooms (two with private terraces) and a laundry room occupy the second floor as well. The lower level also has a pair of suites for staff or guests, plus a gym with spa bath, home theater with stadium seating, wine cellar, and abundant storage.

Also just sold in Water Mill was 377 Cobb Road, for $7,700,000. With a whopping 10,500 square feet on a modest 0.83 acre, the residence boasts 10 bedrooms and 10 baths and—count ’em—five fireplaces as well as two laundry rooms. The first floor contains a junior master suite and a private study with fireplace. Some of the features in the kitchen include 14-foot ceilings, Wolf and Sub-Zero appliances, and a large walk-in pantry. The grand dining room has an architectural ceiling that shares a polished concrete fireplace, and there is a large open living room with a coffered ceiling. Styled for entertaining, the rooms connect to a covered porch that flows to the pool house cabana, which includes a full bathroom.

We can’t end without mentioning 200 Guyer Road, which sold for an even $5 million to an entity known as Happy Wife LLC. She will now be happier with a house that is 5,662 square feet with four bedrooms and five baths. And did a descendant of Paul Revere just purchase a property in Water Mill? The house at 164 Deerfield Road was sold for $3,225,000, and the buyer was Two If By Sea LLC.
