Screenwriter and director Paul Schrader will join the Sag Harbor Cinema Arts Center for a special screening of his new critically acclaimed film “First Reformed” at Guild Hall in East Hampton on Sunday, January 20.

Mr. Schrader, the writer of “Taxi Driver” and “Raging Bull”—both listed on the American Film Institute’s top 100 movies—will join Sag Harbor Cinema Arts Center programming head Giulia D’Agnolo Vallan for a Q&A following the 6 p.m. screening.

“First Reformed” is the inaugural film in the Sag Harbor Cinema Arts Center’s new winter series “Present Tense.” The film stars Ethan Hawke as an upstate New York Protestant minister with a dwindling congregation and his own spiritual crisis. It has gleaned 40 wins and 62 nominations in the United States and abroad since its debut last year.

Tickets are $15 online and at the door. Visit sagharborcinema.org.
