Happy Mother’s Day, ladies! Relax and enjoy your special day.

The Hampton Bays Chamber of Commerce’s spring dinner was held last week at Indian Cove and it was a big success. There was a great crowd, great food and a great new poster in the making. It is nice to announce that even though 23 artworks were submitted, the winning submission was from a Hampton Bays artist!

Carolyn Munaco Haines’s winning picture is of the Shinnecock Canal with Benny Lupia fishing. Both are well-known subjects. As soon as the posters are printed, they will be for sale at the chamber office. Congratulations to Carolyn and thank you to all the other talented artists who contributed this year.

Congratulations to Helen Browne who celebrated her confirmation on Sunday, May 3.

Raise a glass to Kerry and Sue Small. They are celebrating their 31st wedding anniversary today, Thursday, May 7. Cheers!

In addition, Brie has been selected to be a paid summer intern at Northrop Grumman under the mentorship of a senior engineer at the company’s Bethpage facility. Her internship begins on Monday, May 11.

Brie’s sisters, Alanna Frayne and Sarah Jiudice of Hampton Bays, along with her parents, Monika Straka Jiudice of Hampton Bays and John C. Frayne of Cortlandt, New York, are all very proud!
