Southampton

Southampton Town Police charged the following individuals with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor, last week: Patrick Toth, 26, of Coram; and Redro Contreras, 43, of Hampton Bays.

Eric Haeger, 19, of Hampton Bays was arrested by Southampton Town Police on County Road 39 at 8:31 a.m. on August 18 and charged with leaving the scene of an accident involving property damage, a misdemeanor, and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation. Police said Mr. Haeger hit another car and fled the scene. He was stopped on Seven Ponds Road after officers were given a description of his vehicle. No injuries were reported.

Speonk

Nicole DeMonaco, 22, of East Moriches was stopped by Southampton Town Police on Private Road at 2:06 p.m. on July 27 and charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor. Police said Ms. DeMonaco was originally stopped for a traffic violation.

North Haven

Eddy Reyes, 35, of Brentwood was stopped by Southampton Town Police on Ferry Road at 5:14 p.m. last Thursday, August 20, and charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor. Police said Mr. Reyes was originally stopped for speeding.

Andre Franklin, 42, of Flanders was stopped by Southampton Town Police on Ferry Road at 11:07 a.m. on August 18 and charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor. Police said Mr. Franklin was originally stopped for failing to yield.

Flanders

Tara Healy, 37, of Coram was arrested by Southampton Town Police at 4:19 a.m. last Thursday, August 20, and charged with second-degree criminal contempt, a misdemeanor. Police said Ms. Healy contacted her sister, who lives in Flanders, in violation of a court order.

Hampton Bays

Kyle Cause, 28, of Hampton Bays was arrested by Southampton Town Police on Corwin Lane at 11:08 p.m. last Thursday, August 20, and charged with unlawful dealing in fireworks, a misdemeanor. Police said Mr. Cause was originally stopped because a 20-year-old Hampton Bays woman who was sitting in the passenger seat of his parked car was observed smoking marijuana. The woman was charged with possession of marijuana, a violation. Police said they confiscated 54 pieces of fireworks.

Frank O’Dwyer, 18, of Hampton Bays was arrested by Southampton Town Police on Montauk Highway at 2:18 a.m. on Saturday and charged with driving while his ability was impaired by drugs and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, both misdemeanors, and possession of marijuana, a violation. Police said Mr. O’Dwyer was originally stopped for a traffic violation and found with a quantity of marijuana.

Edward Sheridan, 19, of Hampton Bays was arrested by Southampton Town Police on Montauk Highway at 1:51 a.m. on Saturday and charged with driving while his ability was impaired by drugs and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, both misdemeanors, and possession of marijuana, a violation. Police said Mr. Sheridan was stopped at a checkpoint and found with marijuana and the prescription drug hydromorphone, a narcotic pain reliever.

George Frey, 45, of Mastic Beach was stopped by Southampton Town Police on Foster Avenue at 5:24 p.m. on August 19 and charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor. Police said Mr. Frey was originally stopped for having an uncovered load in the back of his pickup truck.

Southampton Town Police charged the following individuals with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor, last week: Robert Vetek, 29, of Shirley; Geovanni Peralta, 23, of Grand Rapids, Michigan; and Hector Mora-Paz, 28, of Hampton Bays.

Jose Morales, 22, of Riverhead was stopped by Southampton Town Police on Flanders Road at 6:31 a.m. on August 1 and charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor. Police said Mr. Morales was originally stopped for speeding.

Southampton Town Police are investigating an incident in which someone set an East Tiana Road man’s car on fire while it was parked in front of his home at 4:19 a.m. on August 18. No injuries were reported.

Riverside

David Cox, 42, of Southampton was stopped by Southampton Town Police on Flanders Road at 11:08 p.m. on August 7 and charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor. Police said Mr. Cox was spotted by an officer who knew that his license was suspended.

Ana Mendez, 28, of Riverhead was stopped by Southampton Town Police on County Road 104 at 2:54 p.m. on July 27 and charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor. Police said Ms. Mendez was originally stopped for driving on the wrong side of the road.
