Congratulations to Southampton Town Supervisor-elect Anna Throne-Holst. Congratulations also go out to Councilman Chris Nuzzi, who was re-elected to the Town Board, and to Councilman-elect Jim Malone.
Dear readers, I have often written about East Quogue’s very generous and caring heart. And it gives me special pleasure to thank the girls of East Quogue’s Brownie Troop 1621 for preparing goodie bags of peanut butter and dog biscuits for all of the “residents” of the Southampton Town Animal Shelter. The girls have also written an endearing Letter to the Editor that appears in this week’s edition of The Press.

I have been a sole caregiver for the past 15 years—first for my aunt and uncle, then for my husband, and now for my 97-year-old mother. So, I know first-hand what an emotionally tumultuous and financially frightening time this can be.
